Over a decade of dedication to raising healthy, happy Bernedoodles for families across America.
Royal Paws Companions was founded by a family of dog lovers who believed that breeding is not just a business — it is a calling. After welcoming our first Bernedoodle into our home in 2012, we fell completely in love with the breed's warmth, intelligence, and beauty.
What began as a personal passion quickly grew into something greater. Families from across America started reaching out, wanting a Bernedoodle raised with the same care and intention that we poured into our own dogs. Today, Royal Paws Companions is proud to be one of the most trusted Bernedoodle breeders in the United States.
Every puppy in our program is raised in our home, socialized daily, and treated like family long before they ever meet yours. We believe the first eight weeks of life set the foundation for a dog's entire personality — so we get those weeks right.
Every decision we make comes back to these six principles.
Every parent dog undergoes comprehensive OFA and genetic testing. We never breed dogs with known heritable conditions.
Our puppies are born and raised inside our home. They sleep in our beds, play with our children, and are loved from day one.
We are proud members of ethical breeder associations. We follow strict standards for breeding frequency, litter size, and dam care.
We take time to match each puppy to the right family. Your lifestyle, activity level, and home environment all matter to us.
Our relationship does not end at pickup. We are available for advice, resources, and community support throughout your dog's life.
We share health test results, veterinary records, and parent information openly. You will know exactly where your puppy comes from.
All parent dogs at Royal Paws Companions are tested for heritable conditions before any breeding. We partner with licensed veterinary specialists and use OFA-certified testing protocols.
Radiographs evaluated by board-certified radiologists through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
Full DNA panels screening for degenerative myelopathy, von Willebrand disease, exercise-induced collapse, and more.
Annual ophthalmology exams performed by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist.
Cardiac evaluation by a board-certified cardiologist to screen for congenital heart conditions.
Annual thyroid panel to ensure normal thyroid function in all breeding dogs.
